Fire and Evacuation Training Program

Learn how to react in the event of a fire after a road accident. Learn how to evacuate, as well as ensure casualties’ safety until the emergency services arrive.

Goals

• Learn how to ensure fire safety on the vehicle and carry out passenger evacuation procedures, as well as ensure passenger safety until the emergency services arrive, after a road accident.
• Achieving compliance with labour legislation and insurance company recommendations

Participants

Passenger vehicle drivers, who may be required to use extinguishers to fight fire, as well as ensure the safety of people present at the accident scene.

Fire intervention theoretical content (morning)

Basic notions relating to fire-fighting:

• Causes of the fire and reasons why it is spreading
• Fire classes present on vehicles
• Extinguishing agents available
• Dangers linked to smoke and fumes
• Fire-fighting equipment available on public transport vehicles

Fire Intervention theoretical content (morning)

• Using extinguishers on solid and fluid fuels (gas tanks)
• Lesson focusing on practical drills on board our Training Bus, with no particular risk for participants

Evacuation theoretical content (afternoon)

• Accident statistics for public transport vehicles
• Characteristics of these accidents
• Specific risks
• Difficulties linked to evacuating a vehicle on its side

Evacuation practical content (afternoon)

Simulations according to the following cases:

• Vehicle on its wheels
• Vehicle on its side
• Vehicle on fire
• Presence of casualties and people with reduced mobility
